HK Must Eats

By Sophie - February 21, 2019

Whenever I come back to Hong Kong, no matter how short the trip, these are the places that I prioritize. There's no going wrong at these ten (listed in no particular order).
 1. Flippers - Hysan Place
I've been all over to look for the best souffle pancakes that HK has to offer, but it always comes back to Flippers. AMPM is a high contender but it's harder to enjoy your pancakes when you're standing on the side of the street so Flippers wins out.
 2. Zuma - The Landmark
Favorite place for sushi rolls in HK, and their brunch never disappoints. A go-to restaurant in Central.
 3. NOC - Gough Street
Flat whites, iced lattes and avocado toast. These three are unparalleled by any other coffee shop in HK.
 4. The Cupping Room - Central
There's just nothing like a Kouign Amann, and nowhere else in HK sells them anymore :(
5. Din Tai Fung - Regal Hotel
I've tried Din Tai Fung in various locations all over the world but none (except Taipei) are as good as the HK one. Xiao long bao are a must, but their fried rice is unbelievably good.
 6. Shugetsu - Gough Street
300g of tsukemen. Enough said.
 7. Supabowl - Wan Chai
Acai bowls are trendy, but these are actually good. Unlike any acai you've probably had, this is as thick as ice cream and sweet but not unnaturally sweet - perfect combo.
 8. Carbone - LKF
The best spicy rigatoni vodka out there.
9. Via Tokyo - Haven Street
The only sesame ice cream worth eating.
10. La Vache - Peel Street
Steak and unlimited fries. And did I mention fries?
