Summer in Shanghai

By Sophie - February 21, 2019

Somewhere high up on the Bund sits this unbeatable view of Shanghai's skyline. August is a very hot time, very hot time, to be in Shanghai but when a hotel with a view like this opens, it compels me to go. On top of that, Shanghainese food is insanely goods. For the best places to eat in SH, click here.
Checked out some of the museums on the West Bund, including the famous rain room in the Yuz Museum. We went when it opened at 10AM and had the whole place to ourselves.
Brought JIRA SWIM to Shanghai.
Can you tell that I really like this view?
Spent most of the trip in places looking out at this view, but mid-way through dinner when I spotted the pink glow outside, I rushed out to take this pic.
Looking deceptively easy going in this pic. Actually took us 30 mins to pay for this coffee because they only accepted AliPay and WePay and we couldn't set either up. The struggles of being a foreigner in China.
Not an art exhibition but one of those insta focused exhibitions.
Mr and Mrs Bund - best meal of the trip (wasn't even SH food!)
Featuring my favorite 紅燒肉 at Shanghai Tang.
What you don't see here is me dying in the 40 degree heat, in Qibao Ancient Town.
And back to the same view!
